My University Life

In March, 2008 I took a writing examination and oral examination in providence University. Then I got the entrance to study here. In September, I came here with excitement. It is the first time I leave home, leave Taipei. Everything is new, fresh and interesting. Now, I have come here for one month. I can gradually accommodate the life here.



One of the reasons why I chose to come Providence University is because the English Department of Providence is very famous. I had determined to major in English when I was in junior high. The other reason is that I want to leave Taipei. Most of the people want to stay in Taipei, but I want more freedom. I want to be independent. Therefore, I convince my father to let me come here for one week. Though the life without parents seems to be difficult, I think I can overcome it.

The life in university is very different from before. We need to change classroom for different class, but In senior high we just stay in our own classroom. The assignments are also different. It require individual thinking, the answers are not on text books. Most of all, we should schedule our time well and take balance between school works and extracurricular activities. I also need to learn how to take care of myself. Living outside is not as convenient as at home. Nobody will wash my clothes and nobody will prepare meals for me. I must do it all by myself. But it is a good chance to grow up, to be independence.

Computer

As the technology grow up faster and faster. Computers are more important than before. Nowadays, almost everybody have a computer, we need computer in school and on work. You can also bring your laptop to everywhere.
Computers are convenience, you can use it to do many things like sending e-mail, searching information and playing video games. We can receive an e-mail immediately, but a letter needs few days. Information on Internet update on the go. You can search anything on the Internet.
Though computer brings a lot of benefits, it also brings some disadvantages. Like the computer virus, it can damage your computer and you may lose your important information. The garbage mails are also annoying. Because e-mail is so convenient, there are less people send written letter. The relationship between people is becoming poor. How to keep the relationship well is a question.

The five people you meet in heaven

My name is 杜京容 , and my English name is Stracy.You can also call me red ! I am come from Taipei , I graduated from Ging-Ling Girls High School.



I am an outgoing person and enjoy making friends with different people. People usually think I am introverted at the first glance, but then find out I am humorous and interesting. I like listening to music, especially pop music, singing , reading suspense novels and seeing action movies in my spare time.



There are four members in my family, my parents, me and my older sister. My family is always in a harmonious atmosphere, which also influences my optimistic personality.
